We built our first garden room almost 15 years ago, and since then the business has evolved and developed until now when we are complete specialists in all things ‘garden room’. Not only do we design and build brand new garden rooms in and around Berkshire, but we also refurbish and upgrade old outbuildings into fantastic new living spaces. The fun is in the challenge of creating versatile spaces that suit modern family life. Our first garden rooms were an extension of the outdoor space, a retreat to relax in and enjoy the outdoors. Fast forward to the present, and the demands of our living space are much higher. Children are often staying at home longer, and garden rooms offer an exciting way to give them independence from the main house. With modern communication methods it has become far easier to work from home. There are few limitations on how you can develop your outdoor space, whether new or a refurbishment, and we can help you design and develop your own building whether for leisure, work or self-contained living space. Building a garden room
As shown in the following clip, we offer a complete service, from site preparation to decoration, even landscaping if required. No all of our competitors offer this, leaving you to find other contractors.
The 7m x 4.5m garden room built here includes a loo and store room with a door through to the road behind. Bi-fold doors open the whole room to the garden, and being fully insulated it makes a wonderful addition to a young family’s home all year round.
Brick or Timber?
People are often concerned that wooden buildings will not last as long as traditional brick-built buildings. In fact, well-built timber framed structures exist today that were built centuries ago in both rural farmyard settings and urban towns and cities – and that was before the use of wood treatments and modern waterproofing membranes materials … now they will last even longer!
